An Update

Just a little update to let you know that I have started a new blog called a mint daydream where you will find cute DIYs, pretty vintage finds and other lovely things! From now on I will be blogging regularly from there and I hope you will come and join me! xx 

April Snaps

         + Spent time relaxing with the new Frankie Magazine.

         + Drunk many cups of tea and consumed pretty sweet treats.

         + Bought some cute vintage swap cards and a pretty notebook from the Elizabeth Handmade Market.

         + Had a play with some amazing vintage patterns. 

         + Wrapped a pretty gift for a friend.

Today I am excited to share a new blog with you! It is called The Pink Baker and is run by one of my best friends Coby. Coby is an amazing baker and after a bit of persuasion she has finally decided to start a blog to share some of her creations and I couldn't be more thrilled! If you love baking and really pretty things then you are going to love her blog! 

Lovely Vintage Finds

The other day I stumbled across the lovely shop Hello Darling Vintage on Etsy and I am in love! The items in their shop are so unique and the photography is so beautiful. All of these items are all still available and are around the $20 price range... Go and have a look at some of their other lovely goods for yourself! 

I wish...

The amazing Finders Keepers Market is on this weekend in Melbourne, and I wish more then anything I could go! It has been a dream of mine to go to The Finders Keepers for a good 2-3 years now, but unfortunately I have not made it to one yet. Above are some pictures of the Frankie stall... This time around they are having a vintage pop up shop, a sweet caravan photo booth, as well as all of their usual pretty Frankie bit and pieces. Melbourne has another Finders Keepers Market during October, and I am definitely going to try and aim to get there! 

My Finished Blanket

Over the Easter weekend I finally finished this medallion square crochet blanket that I had been working on for over a year! The pattern is based on an old vintage pattern but I changed it up a bit to make it look like a blanket I saw on-line once. I am really pleased with it, I love the colours and the pattern worked out really well! I have also decided to enter this blanket in the Element Eden Knit Off Competition! Are you entering anything? March Snaps

March has been a good month for me! I am now into the full swing of uni, and I am loving my new course (Interior Design), and the cool weather has finally come meaning I am spending a lot of my spare time crocheting and drinking cups of tea. I am definitely a winter girl! Here are a few snaps from March...

Easter Delights

Happy Easter weekend everyone! I'm glad to say that the cold weather has just arrived and therefore this Easter will be as cosy and lovely as ever! Yay! Here are a few things I am looking forward to doing in my Easter break..

         + Finally start finishing up this blanket and get a whole lot of my new blanket done!

         + Make myself a pretty dress out of some lovely floral fabric I found at an op-shop the other day.

         + Go to the Harvest Farmers Market on Saturday morning.

         + Eat lots of chocolate and sweet treats!

         + Go for a road trip with Matt to Deloraine (if he is not to busy with work!).

Yesterday My Mum Bought a copy of My Cool Caravan, a book full of the most adorable vintage inspired caravans! I have always loved caravans and it has been a dream of mine for a while now to buy a tiny little caravan and fix it up and make it look pretty. Here are some lovely caravans that I found through Pinterest today. xx 

February Snaps

I am continually amazed at how quickly 2013 is flying by... two months have gone already! I'm very happy to say that I really made the most of February. Enjoying the last bit of summer at the beach with friends and relaxing during my last few weeks of freedom (uni has officially started for the year!). Here are a few snaps of what I got up to in February...

1. Collected some good reads for a week away at the beach.

2. Treated myself to a stunning new craft book.

3. Had a very successful op-shopping trip.

4. Was given some amazing vintage lace collars and had a lot of fun attaching them to some of my favourite dresses. 

5. Spent some time filling the pages of my journal.

6. Wore cute summer outfits.

Element Eden Winter 2013

The first day of Autumn is officially here in Australia! As you may know, autumn is my favourite season... I just love it when it starts to cool down and everything becomes so beautiful and cosy. The pictures above are from Element Edens 2013 winter lookbook. Element Eden is one of my favourite brands and they do such an amazing job at styling their lookbooks. This one makes me so excited to start sipping tea and crocheting in front of the fire! I have also seen a pattern for those cute little kitten mittens and might even try to make my own pair this winter!
