A Dreamy Party

It is a very gloomy, rainy day here in Launceston today, and even though I love the rain I still always need a little something to brighten up my day! These amazing photos by Ashley Oostdyck certainly do the trick! I find everything about these photos perfect - the slight vintage look and the sort of mis-matched element of these photos is so lovely! Ashley is now definitely on the top of the list if I am ever needing a photographer!

Well November is here already... meaning that I am officially on uni holidays! Sorry for the lack of blog posts last month. For me, October was spent finishing assignments and other uni bits and pieces... But now that that is done I am looking forward to getting back into blogging and sharing a few different things that I have been working on with you. Life right now...

Right now my life is all about uni and assignments due to the fact that there is only 4 weeks of uni left to go. I can't believe how fast this year has gone by and that I am nearly on uni holidays again already! I have not really loved becoming a teacher and in the last couple of weeks I have actually decided to stop studying teaching at the end of this year and am thinking of changing my degree to interior design instead. It is really exciting to think that there is only 4 more weeks left, of what is a misery for me, and then I will be able to get on with doing something that I am actually interested in. 

The Horse

My all time favourite shoe label The Horse recently released their Spring/Summer collection for 2012! The shots from their new collection are so dreamy and make me so excited for summer! I am lucky enough to own a pair of these shoes and I cannot wait to wear them all summer long! 

Weekend Delights

This weekend I am planning to go to Hobart with a few friends to go and watch the band Alpine! I haven't been to Hobart in a long time so I am pretty excited! The band plays later tonight so we have decided to stay the night at a bed and breakfast and then spend tomorrow going to Salamanca Market and having lunch and doing a bit of shopping! It is going to be a good weekend!

Today I have been flat out working on a nice big etsy order for Rockrose Handmade, an on-line store full of lovely handmade goods. This is the first time I have ever done a wholesale order so I am pretty excited about it! However, after a full day of sewing and making I am definitely pretty tired and ready to relax and I can't think of anything better then curling up to sleep on a pretty crocheted blanket in the warm afternoon sun.     

Dear Lolita

Friday is here at last... This week feels as though it has gone for ages! Which is good for me as I am on uni break at the moment. It has been quite stormy here this week and from the sound of the wind outside it seems as though it might be the same again today. I'm having a stay at home day today and so am looking forward to spending the last day of the break reading my book and drinking hot chocolate all day. I discovered these photos by Dear Lolita this morning and just love the comforting feel that they have. I love discovering pretty photography and I love having a place to share some of my finds.

Weekend Delights

Here are a few things I'm getting up to this weekend:

• Renting out The Hunger Games to watch tonight! I loved this movie and am really looking forward to seeing it again.
• Visiting all kinds of markets on Saturday morning. Will probably go to Harvest farmers market first, then to Inveresk to visit the Niche market and then hopefully to the Flourish conference market if I have time!
• Doing a little bit of shopping. Dad gave me some money to buy a new pair of jeans for myself as a birthday present after I had complained about only having one pair. He is too kind sometimes :)
• Getting spoilt on Sunday. Matt and my lovely friend Natalie have planned a surprise for me and I am dying to know what it is! I'm actually quite impressed that they haven't caved in and told me yet!

This year for my birthday I have decided to have a tea party with a few of my closest friends to celebrate. I like to think of myself as a bit of a baker and so I am really looking forward to getting in the kitchen and making lots of sweet treats for it! I've also been out hunting for some pretty teacups, teapots and other vintage tea party goods and have been pretty successful so far!

Wish List: Pretty Tote Bags

How lovely are these tote bags by fieldguided! I'm loving tote bags at the moment as they are so easy to carry around and are very practical... therefore great for uni! I think these ones are so nice though... simple but effective! The quotes that are featured on the totes are hand printed and are quite unique and interesting... The photography is pretty too!
