Pretty Projects: Crochet Blanket

Today I thought I'd share some photos that I finally got around to take of my latest crochet project! I started this blanket about four months ago and I am please to say that I am officially over half way! The idea for this blanket came from a photo I found online... but for some reason I couldn't find a pattern similar to the one I wanted anywhere! In the end I used this pattern as a template and changed it a little to make it exactly what I wanted. 

It may seem as if making these same squares over and over again must be repetitive and boring but it totally isn't! It is actually really relaxing and I know the finished product will be so worth it! Hopefully one day I will get around to writing out the pattern so others can use it too! 

Downton Abbey

Over the weekend I started to watch Downton Abbey and I have to say I'm in love! I love the era, the setting, the drama, the characters, the beautiful costumes... It is so brilliantly written! If you have not started watching this amazing series then I totally recommend you do!

I have one more episode left to watch of the first series (I only started watching them three days ago!) but I'm saving it for my next free night. I can't wait to get straight into series two when I am done! 

Lovely Stamps

For my birthday last year one of my lovely friends gave me a voucher to spend at my favourite shop, Cocoon. Cocoon is an amazing little boutique full of beautiful handmade goods and has the most delightful, ever-changing shop window! I spent my voucher on a tiny box of sweet, vintage inspired alphabet stamps! The stamps have already gotten a lot of use as I use them for basically everything! I'm looking forward to hopefully collecting more lovely stamps soon!

Wish List: Satchel bags

I absolutely love satchel bags at the moment! I'm definitely on the look out for one as I think they would be perfect for uni... I just love all the different colours and styles they come in! Here are some pretty satchels that have caught my eye lately...

My gift to Matt

Today I thought I would share the little gift I got for my lovely Matt for valentines day. We have never really bothered with valentines day in the four years we have been together but this year we made a little bit more of an effort! I came across the most perfect gift idea here and decided to give it a go! 

This gift idea is so simple... just fill a daily pill box with some yummy treats and lovely notes! 

I used notes that were sentimental to Matt and I, favourite quotes, bible verses and cute URLs but you could use what ever you wanted... let your imagination go wild! I was super please with the end product and I can't wait to do something similar again!
